What are Dental Crowns?
A dental crown is a type of restoration that covers and protects a damaged or compromised tooth. What happens during the Dental Crown procedure?
We start by filing down the damaged tooth. This will make enough room for the crown to sit once it has been made. You will then have impressions taken that are used to make the actual crown. The crown is then placed over the tooth and permanently bonded to this area. The majority of new crowns have the ability to last for upwards of about 10 years, though this may vary from one person to the next.
